The Laborer will complete general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Duties may include all phases of underground construction including but are not limited to: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
 

What you will do: 

 

  • Locate, repair, and test coax cable in an underground environment
  • Troubleshoot problems that will require coax repair, coax maintenance, coax splicing, fault finding, etc.
  • Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
  • Hand dig using shovels
  • Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
  • Drive a company vehicle between home/office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner
  • Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment to be prepared to perform required duties
  • Complete paperwork accurately and report and record work order status updates

 

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have a valid standard driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Have the ability to work over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call
  • Be able to stand, crouch, sit, bend, balance, climb, crawl, lift, hold, or stoop while on shift
  • Have experience working in adverse weather such as extreme heat, cold temperatures, wind, rain, snow, sleet, and dust
  • Have experience driving on wet or icy roads and in the fog
  • Able to lift, climb, and carry weight of up to 80lbs
