A national leader in the telecommunications field is hiring for an Underground Construction Manager in West Des Moines, IA. This position is responsible for managing in accordance with the customer and industry specifications. 



  • Issue incoming work to technicians, monitor for timely response.
  • Update the finding of UG technicians to move jobs to the next steps.
  • Issue jobs to drop crews, act as liason between subcontractors and Customer.
  • Data entry of all steps in the process from beginning to end to provide timely updates.
  • Customer contact via phone and email to deal with concerns and inquiries.
  • Ability to problem solve and willingness to ask for assistance in order to assure timely completion of drop bury process.
  • Corresponding with customer representatives to solve job issues, update progress, and for follow-up on job completion.
  • Research aging jobs for report updates and support subcontractors and in house employees who need assistance in job movement.
  • Coordinate with Prince management on tasks involving day to day operations.
  • Assist in all special projects assigned by supervisor.



  • Minimum 2 years degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge/experience with construction terms.
  • Proficient with various software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Kofax (PDF).
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate professionalism with customers and co-workers in a consistent business-like manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Capable of working independently and as a team player.
  • Some evening or weekends may be required.
